Center for Integrative Oncology Opens Its Sixth Location in Oerlikon
With the opening of its sixth location, the Center for Integrative Oncology (ZIO) is further expanding its outpatient care services in the Zurich region. On September 15, 2026, the new center in Neumarkt, located right next to the Oerlikon train station, will begin operations. This means that, in addition to Zurich, Uster, Richterswil, Winterthur, and Glarus, the ZIO will now also have a presence in the northern part of the city of Zurich.
With its new location in Oerlikon, ZIO is consistently continuing its growth trajectory and bringing its integrative oncology treatment approach even closer to patients. Dr. Boris Hübenthal, CMO of ZIO AG, will move from the current Zurich location to Oerlikon along with Dr. Cathrin Cheridito and other experienced team members. This ensures that patients have access to a well-coordinated and experienced treatment team right from the start. The new location in Neumarkt near the Oerlikon train station has excellent public transportation connections. The center is also easily accessible by car thanks to the parking garage in the building.
Comprehensive range of services in regional primary care
At its new location, the ZIO continues to offer the full range of outpatient diagnostics and treatment for oncological and hematological diseases. The foundation is always conventional medical day-clinic care, which is supplemented by a comprehensive range of integrative medical treatments from the field of complementary medicine. The goal is to provide holistic care that takes into account not only the treatment of the disease but also the individual needs and well-being of patients. Thanks to other medical practices located in the building and in the immediate vicinity, distances are short, creating ideal conditions for close interdisciplinary collaboration.
About the ZIO
The Center for Integrative Oncology was founded in 2015 and operates six locations that focus on primary outpatient care in the field of oncology and hematology. Today, more than 20 oncologists and hematologists, as well as other physicians in complementary specialties, work at the ZIO, forming a high-quality and well-functioning network across all locations. The ZIO maintains well-established partnerships with public and private hospitals as well as specialized outpatient services in the greater Zurich area. It currently employs a total of just under 100 staff members, and its services play an important and growing role in providing comprehensive primary medical care in the region.
