New Location in Oerlikon

Another chapter in the
Success Story of the Center for Integrative Oncology

In mid-September 2026, the Center for Integrative Oncology (ZIO AG) in Oerlikon will open its sixth location. With approximately 26,000 consultations annually, ZIO AG has become one of Switzerland’s leading outpatient oncology centers in just ten years. The rapidly growing demand shows that the combination of medical excellence and holistic, personalized care meets the needs of many patients. ZIO AG pursues this integrative approach through its patient-centered care model, which places the individual—with all their needs—at the center of treatment.

Founded in 2015, ZIO AG now operates at five locations in the cantons of Zurich and Glarus. Starting in mid-September 2026, a sixth location will open in Oerlikon at Hofwiesenstrasse 350. Dr. Boris Hübenthal, the long-time medical director of the Zurich location, will take over management of the new location. «The opening of the new location right next to the Oerlikon train station is an important step toward making our services even more accessible to our patients,» says Boris Hübenthal. «We look forward to offering the same high quality and personalized care at the new location as well. Another advantage of the location is Curana’s PET/CT scanner, which is located in the same building, just one floor above the ZIO. This allows diagnostic evaluations and outpatient treatment to take place under one roof, enabling shorter travel distances and close coordination.»

By expanding to six locations, ZIO AG is reinforcing its position as a leading provider of integrative cancer treatments in Switzerland. The holistic approach combines conventional medical treatments, such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy, with complementary approaches, such as neural therapy and mistletoe therapy, as well as supplementary services in the areas of psycho-oncology, oncological exercise therapy, and nutritional counseling.
«Our goal is to find the combination of treatment and counseling options that best suits each patient,» says Nadine Wilhelm, CEO of ZIO AG. «In this way, we specifically support self-healing and self-efficacy, which improves quality of life.»

High Demand for Integrative Oncology

The development of the Center for Integrative Oncology clearly demonstrates how great the need is in Switzerland for holistic, individually tailored forms of treatment, says Nadine Wilhelm. «Last year, we recorded approximately 26,000 consultations, which represents an increase of nearly 40 percent compared to the previous year. The opening of the new location is an important step toward continuing to ensure that our patients have the best possible access to our services.’

Note: On Saturday, October 31, 2026, ZIO Oerlikon will host an open house for anyone interested. You can find the registration link at the bottom of this page.
