Psychological support at the ZIO
The soul is also affected

Psychological support at the ZIO
"The experience of a cancer diagnosis calls for emotional support," says Cornelia Ehrat. She is a psycho-oncology consultant at the ZIO Zurich. The ZIO respects patients in their unity of body, soul and spirit. This is why psycho-oncological support is an integral part of care. "Sometimes a single conversation is enough," says Ehrat. "Sometimes it is helpful to come regularly, at shorter or longer intervals. The decisive factor is the right personal support on a psychological level." It's about taking courage and talking out and tackling any fears. In the report, she talks about the challenges she faces and how she works.

Mistletoe therapy
Improving the quality of life during therapy

Mistletoe therapy at the ZIO
Many cancer patients suffer from a reduced quality of life during chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Integrative oncology addresses this with mistletoe therapy, among other things. Special preparations from the mistletoe plant can reduce many side effects during cancer therapy and improve the patient's well-being. They also stimulate the immune system, which can be used both during and after cancer therapy. The effect is well documented. Mistletoe has been used clinically for decades to facilitate cancer therapies and mistletoe therapy is constantly being further developed. Your ZIO will be happy to inform you about the possibilities.
